Balloon Day

Holidays are not only the New Year and Birthday. Any day can become a festive one. An important feature of the holiday is its ability to happen miraculously out of the blue. Somebody wants to have fun - and here is a holiday.

In the beginning of May, we had a balloon day. We decorated the game room for children with balloons, we all played together, organized contests, listened to the songs about balloons and danced, burst the balloons, shared our joy with children from other groups, released balloons to the sky, making a wish. It was a real celebration of colors, sounds and emotions.
In terms of duration, the holiday days are equal to weeks, and in terms of internal changes they evoke in a child’s soul, they equal to years. (From the book "The Clock Struck Twelve" by T. Babushkina).
