We are glad to contact you, because it is thanks to you that this report exists, it contains a lot of interesting things, and there is also joy that for another year our organization could make some of the children smile, some get bright emotions, put aside pleasant memories in his memory. And for some of the guys, our activities brought more important changes.
We hope that our report will be read by those who resonate with such activities. Perhaps this will serve to make you think about the needs of those guys in whose interests we work. A big problem is the stigmatization of people who are different from others. Even a feeling of pity for these people actually creates obstacles for their positive development: personally and in society. Our guys deserve respect (like all people), recognition of their dignity (like any Human), communication (like everyone else).
Over the course of this year, World Without Borders has begun to recover from previous global challenges. We all received a new strong shock on a global scale. And in spite of everything… last year we restored the face-to-face format of the Republican festival of creativity of children and young people with disabilities living in boarding schools, completed a three-year cycle of work on the deinstitutionalization of children with disabilities, the creation of a communicative environment for “non-speech children” in one of boarding schools, finalizing comprehensive programs to help children in contact and conflict with the law, reformatting the “Contact Person” work model for pupils and graduates of special educational and educational institutions of a closed type. We have launched a new project to establish internal child protection mechanisms in 12 child-friendly institutions and provide them with a safe and friendly environment. We continue consulting specialists who work with children in contact with the law, residents of boarding schools, and provide them with various methodological assistance.
The next stage of the KVN action "Autumn Marathon" took place and the prerequisites for its return to the traditional and full-time format appeared. We started and carried out a new action for pupils of closed institutions "Big-small victories", which involves the participation of all the children who are in such institutions, and helps them find themselves and understand others.
