June 09, 10, 11, 12, 15 and 18, 2020 on-line meetings were held with the pupils of the closed type educational institutions. Holding such events with adolescents is a new format. Both volunteers and children at the first meetings were very shy and felt awkward. Indeed, to communicate over the Internet, through video communication, simultaneously with several people - this is something new and alarming. But this was only the first minutes of communication. Then the children felt much calmer, more confident and behaved more actively.
All volunteers (or free from work and their household chores) could participate in the meetings. Indeed, you don’t need much for this - desire, free time, access to the Internet and a link that you need to click on to join communication with the pupils of the closedtype institutions. I would like to note that not only volunteers and contact persons of the organization “World Without Borders”, but also specially invited speakers took part in these conferences. Yuri Aliyev is a family consultant, psychologist, public figure in Brest, a lecturer, a good family man, father and grandfather, just a good person with life experience in overcoming difficulties and trials. Communication with Yuri was like family communication with family, with interesting stories that not only sometimes surprised, but also forced to draw conclusions in their own lives. Gaponenko Larisa Konstantinovna is a gynecologist, lecturer, consultant, experience in medicine for over 40 years. The communication of the girls from Petrikov state closed type institution with her was very rich and useful. The girls not only listened attentively, but also asked questions, which once again confirmed the importance of this communication. Klyuyev Petr is a musician, member of the LSP group, pianist, singer, author, performer, composer, simple and open person to communicate with pupils. Not only once Peter visited a closed-type educational institution, despite the fact that he is a famous musician. But he always with great pleasure takes part in meetings with teenagers. The guys could learn not only about the work of Peter himself, but also ask him about other pop artists. Communication was open and easy.
The following topics were also discussed at the meetings: music, sports, health, the values of family and friends, children's rights, the problems of pupils and their solutions, dependence and much more. All topics are large enough and require global discussion, and this only suggests that such conferences with adolescents are only the beginning. As volunteers, as well as the pupils themselves are already waiting for the next meetings even if they are online.
Next week, meetings will continue, there will be new speakers, new acquaintances, new impressions and new opportunities to make the world of pupils without borders.
