Summer charity event “You can’t ban sports life” took place in August 20-24, 2018 in Mogilev. This event was held to support pupils of Mogilev closed-type college. The event was the part of the project “TEEN in the centre”.
Educational and interactive program was thoroughly thought out by volunteers and co-workers. The program included motivational conversations, sport games, water games (what is very good in hot weather), games on team building etc. There were special guests on this event – players of the football team “Lynx”. They introduced this football game to pupils and held a mini-training. Some pupils were very interested in this game, exchanged contacts with sportsmen. Some of the pupils said that they would be great football players in future. As the part of the event 30 students went to a recreation center “Rubicon” where a sport program was organized for them. Of course, the most important was communication that pupils lack in a school. We tried to piece this lack out.
And again we want to give thanks to the team of volunteers. They supported our initiative, they stood for the common cause with all their heart and they left part of themselves in a school.
“…Mogilev closed-type college was a new place for me. I heard about it from my contact friends and I wanted to see it myself. Of course, everything was very different. The life, the rules, the atmosphere, which was hard to change. Nevertheless, it was incredible 5 days - thanks for those who needed our presence there. Peculiar days, not easy at all. Some people realized their value close to the end of the event. When I returned home I received such a message “thanks for being with us, it was important for us. And forgive us for realizing this too late..””.
