To be closer and not to leave anyone alone! A good start!

25 May 2020
We are pleased to announce that A1 company ( Internet provider)  and Swedish charity organization Eriks Development Partner have joined our call. And already this week 8 house-boarding institutions and 4 closed type institutions will get the possibility to become  the users of Internet provided by A1 company. We have received the equipment and will deliver it around the country. The first  to get it were the children from Vasilishki house-boarding institution.  Hundreds of children with disabilities are in touch and received equipment on Monday. Next in line are Ivenets and Bogushevsk house-boarding institutions.
Thank you, A1, for your social responsibility !!! We sincerely hope that your initiative will be the first in expanding the opportunities for children with disabilities to make the world around them nearer  and their possibilities unlimited !!!
WWB is grateful to ERIKS Development Partner, our reliable perennial partner, the organization which is always in the front line in order to help and support the children all over the world.
Let's try to support the children living in these institutions, get closer, do not leave anyone with the problems and new global challenges !!! Equipment  for accessing the Internet and traffic costs are needed by other institutions.
The children also have received original innovative inclusive games on children's rights developed by “World Without Borders”.
For 20 years, our organization has been providing comprehensive assistance and support to children with disabilities living in 9 houses-boarding institutions, as well as to the adolescents who are in conflict with the law and staying in 4 closed type institutions, subordinate to the Ministry of Education, social and pedagogical centers (with shelters), families of pupils of these institutions as well as the staff, seeking to improve the quality of assistance and support.
During this difficult time, COVID -19 pandemic  has forced WWB’s team to look for new forms and methods of work, to help children living in residential institutions, who as never before need support and are at increased risk of engaging in an unequal battle with the virus. The situation is aggravated by the lack of parental care and attention, the inability to communicate with volunteers, friends, relatives.  Anti-epidemic measures have left isolated even the staff working in these institutions  who take heroic efforts to protect children from external contacts and possible infection.
Being isolated, perhaps more than ever before, the staff working with children need support and inspiration. The isolation mode  in these institutions puts the children and the staff in a situation where communication with the world is possible only through Internet or by ordinary telephone. To support the staff, to give an opportunity to get advice and provide timely assistance, as well as to give their pupils the possibility of employment and communication is one of the urgent problems today. During this period, more than ever, it is important to maintain contact with these institutions, offering them informational and psychological support and provide them with the opportunity to communicate with the outside world.
