On December 21 - 22, a follow-up seminar was held for the administration and employees of closed type educational institutions.
2020 was a challenging year for our partners and us. But none of us gave up our joint efforts to achieve best possible results in working with children. The follow-up seminar was attended by 4 heads of the institutions, 4 deputy directors for educational work and 4 psychologists from closed type educational institutions.
At the sessions, the results of the outgoing year were summed up. The main topic was the protection of the rights of the child. The participants discussed key concepts and terms with the main emphasis on working with adolescents from closed type institutions. Sessions were based on the analysis of the work completed with children at the previous seminars (their take on the violation of rights, risks of rights violation and prevention measures). The seminar’s participants looked for solutions to the risk situations that children had pointed out. The important point on the agenda was also an organized support group. The results of this year's work, which were achieved jointly with the staff of the institution, were presented. The feedback collected from the questionnaire survey of the pupils identified the points that should be paid attention to in the future.
According to the questionnaire for the qualitative assessment, the seminar helped the participants to look at the discussed concepts from a different perspective and form the belief that it is of utmost importance to listen to children and take into account their rights in all aspects of life.
Heads of partner institutions congratulated WWB on its 20th anniversary.
We would like to thank everyone for the kindest wishes. We are looking forward to continuing our trusted fruitful cooperation!
