On September 11, 2020, a roundtable meeting was held, during which the implementation of the project of International Technical Aid "Improving restorative practices for adolescents in contact or conflict with the law" in Minsk region was discussed. The event was attended by 47 people, including directors, deputy directors, specialists of educational institutions, Deputy Prosecutor of Minsk region, Deputy Chairperson of Commission for Minors of Minsk district department of internal affairs, Deputy Head of the ideological work, culture department for youth affairs of Minsk district executive committee, representatives of UNICEF Children's Fund and the Union of Lawyers. The Deputy Chairperson of the Commission for Minors of Minsk regional executive committee and the director of Minsk State Regional College delivered a welcoming speech. The director of Socio-pedagogical Center of Minsk region updated the issues of coordination and organization of individual preventive work with children and adolescents in Minsk region. The Chairperson of CPA "World without Borders", a member of Commission for Minors under the Council of Ministers of the Republic of Belarus acquainted the participants of the round table with the goals, objectives and expected results of the project. Further cooperation within the project was also discussed.

The main goal of the project is to create a model of working with children and adolescents in conflict with the law by expanding the range of services and forms of assistance based on restorative approaches for these categories of children in the regions.
Within the framework of the project, consultative centers will be created in the town of Soligorsk and in Minsk region for adolescents in contact or conflict with the law, training meetings, round tables, seminars and conferences will be organized and conducted.
This project aims to expand the use of mediation and mediation tools in relation to minors in contact or conflict with the law. Within the framework of this project, social and pedagogical work with adolescents in contact or conflict with the law, as well as the implementation of restorative practices will be carried out on the basis of advisory centers created at two Socio-padagogical Centes: in Minsk region and Soligorsk.
