During the period from 5 to 9 July 2021, the summer integration action "RHYTHM" - Romantics, Seekers, Tvortels, Dreamers took place on the basis of Petrikov closed-type educational institution. Every day was filled with special bright colors, emotions, impressions.
The first day always goes very carefully, everyone looks at each other, learns the rules of the week, the daily routine, shares in teams, gets to know their mentors. But everyone was looking forward to this meeting in a special way! Someone to chat with their contact friend, someone to find him for themselves, someone to learn something new and interesting, someone to just unwind and have fun. All expectations have come true!
During the first day, the girls came up with the name and a motto for their teams.They turned out to be rather original: "Upward movement" and "220 volts". And throughout the week there was an active struggle between these two teams: during performances on the stage, in relay races, in sporting events, kapitoshka and in many other things.
A special event for some of the girls was when they were able to visit the village of Lyaskovichi, and to see the life of Belarusian people, got acquainted with its culture and craft. At the end of the walk, the girls swam on a steamer along the Pripyat River. We took many beautiful photos and enjoyed the local scenery.
A particularly bright moment of the whole week was the concert in which the girls themselves took part! They showed sketches, sang songs, recited poetry and just improvised. But no one knew that a surprise awaited them, that professionals in their field, the musical group "Svoi Ryad" arrived to support the girls. The atmosphere was especially warm and cozy, everyone danced, sang had fun and enjoyed unforgettable moments together.
What do the girls love the most? That's right, go to the store and spend money. Everyone had such an opportunity. Pupils could earn "money" by performing various tasks at the stations and then exchange them for real things: clothes, soap, brushes, notepads and pens, hair ties and much more. And on the last day, the whole school was looking for a treasure chest.
The week passed very quickly and unforgettably, the participants of the action shared their impressions:
“When I was offered to go to a special camp in the closed-type special school organized by WWB, I doubted. I doubted whether I would be useful, since I had never participated in such events. But at the end of the trip I was surprised. I didn't think I would enjoy interacting with teenagers and other volunteers so much. When communicating with girls, I noticed how they lack attention and care, especially when they are in a closed institution. World Without Borders is the organization where people help these children to feel themselves needed and loved. I have gained invaluable experience and thank you for allowing me to be a part of it all. " Veronica
