Report on the Activities of WWB in 2021

Dear friends!
Let me, on behalf of the Council and the team of CPA "World without Borders", thank everyone who was and is with us!
Thank you for your participation, solidarity and desire to make our world better, kinder and brighter! We are pleased to present our concise annual report of activities for the year 2021.
Last year our life continued to give us unpredictable and global challenges. In these difficult conditions, we are learning not only to survive, but also to find new ways and forms to work, be useful and help our children. We are well aware that we must do this! This is our mission and calling. Our guys live in our country and need help here and now. “World Without Border’s” team tried and found new opportunities.
The need to look for a new office forced us to do this. Delays in the registration of donor funds gave us reliable partners who allowed us to carry out events with a significant payment delay and significant bonuses and our employees learned to live in new economic conditions. Recent events have created the prerequisites for dividing organizations and people into different groups, defining adherence to different beliefs as an indicator of worthiness for obtaining resources to provide assistance. But we help children who live in boarding schools now, who have made many mistakes in their growing up, and who often cannot help themselves. We help children to stay with their families or find new ones, learn to communicate with the world and understand what is happening around, when for many years you could not speak the traditional language, you were not understood and you did not always understand others, help to identify situations that prevent to take right decisions and find a positive way out.
And we do not want the condition of our effective work to be commitment to any values and ideas, except for GOOD, JUSTICE and HAPPINESS of our guys. Our motto was and remains:
Even a small act of love can cause big changes! And for more than 20 years we have been collecting such small changes that happen with children (and not very small ones) from those people and organizations that want to make the life of the guys with whom we work happy, accessible and kind! Over the past year, together with our partners, we have placed children from boarding schools into foster families.This achievement has added to the series of first cases that our organization is proud of: restoring the capacity of children from boarding schools, returning to biological families. And now there is the first experience of placing children in foster families. In Gorodishchenski boarding house, we, together with a huge group of associates and like-minded people from among the staff of the institution, volunteers, representatives from the State Belorussian University and Academy of Postgraduate Education have trained most of the children of the so-called "non-speech" category to communicate using alternative and additional communication. And you cannot imagine what a happiness it is to see a child who can ask for help, who is understood by those who help him, when he can tell what he would like to do, to eat and so on. Our successes with the second group of guys (who have behavioral problems) continue to bring warm moments of joy and happiness: in calls, meetings, communication. They have quit bad habits, got a job, graduated from school, significantly increased their academic progress, become our volunteers or help in other places, got married and have got children, have not broken the law for many years - these messages and our observations are intensified when we know what we managed to overcome with our guys and how difficult it is to do it. And the main thing in this direction is that every year the number of those children whom we helped to avoid being sent to closed institutions is growing.
We are very glad that even in the conditions of coronavirus epidemic we are able to hold our traditional festivals of creativity for children of boarding schools "Dreams Come True" and the KVN creative action for pupils of closed institutions and children in contact with the law "Autumn Marathon" and we sincerely hope for their full restoration to previous formats in 2022. We want to restore the unique creative action "Big Art by the Hands of Small People" after the stabilization of the epidemic situation.
We hope that the responsiveness, charity and care of people and organizations will allow us to continue creating a world accessible to our children, which will not create obstacles and boundaries for them and even a small act of love will make a big difference.
