On the 15th and 16th of August 2018 there was a seminar-conference about the implementation of the project "TEEN in the center" for principals and professionals of educational institutions which are involved in the project. The goals that were set for the group were to define the interim achievements of the project for the two target groups (professionals and children); to identify the needs of children in conflict with the law, with who the institutions work, and to transform those needs into ideas for future projects.
The group worked actively during two training days. In conclusion, the participants were asked four questions on which they worked, using the methods of group cooperation and collective decision-making:
1) "What needs of children in conflict with the law should be realized in the first place?" 2) "How has the situation in the regions (for social-pedagogical centers) and institutions changed during the project implementation?" 3) "What did the specialists of the participating institutions get from the project?" 4) "How has the quality of helping children changed and at the expense of which new funds?".
While the participants were answering the questions, they highlighted the need for consistent methods of education in the family, educational institutions and other institutions that work with such children; the need of the ability to communicate constructively with people of the same age and imposing adults, parents; the need of understanding and faith from their part; the need of the ability to set goals and achieve them with using constructive methods; the need of consolidating the situation of success.
Also, the participants confidently noted that the institutions have become more popular among children, parents, specialists. These target groups see the positive results of the professionals’ work. In response, professionals began to use new ways of helping children, also rendering assistance to children began more systematic. Absolutely new methods and forms of work which experts learned in the process of implementation of the project, in particular the method of ADAD, MI, AART, were noted. Participants of the meeting observed that the quality of assistance has changed for the better due to new methods, tools of work and the algorithm of sharing the experience "from professionals to professionals". The professional appears in a new way as a trustee for children, and motivates the child to set a goal, take responsibility for it.
