27 December 2018

December 27, 2018 our volunteers visited inmates in the city of Mogilev. The boys of each institution looked forward to meeting. This time the Belarusian Herculeses – the Kazakov Brothers came to congratulate the teenagers together with the volunteers. They demonstrated their incredible strength to the students: hammering nails with their fists, twisting iron rods with their bare hands and teeth, lifting weights with incredible ease, and spinning a carousel on their shoulders with our volunteer sitting on it. In 2015, the Kazakov Brothers were listed in the Book of Records of Russia, Commonwealth of Independent States (CIS) and Baltic countries “DIVO” for establishing the world's highest achievements in circus art: performing the Samson Bridge stunt with a live weight of 4 people (281 kg) for 8 seconds. A cheerful and dynamic circus number “Millers” combines skill, strength and dexterity. Two strong brothers demonstrated unusual power abilities to the boys: juggling and throwing heavy bags and other power elements. Students who wished to show everyone their powerful force in bending nails were invited onto the stage. But unfortunately, none of them succeeded in this…But Kazakov Brothers without any problems were able to bend nails, demonstrating the years of training.

After the concert program was completed, the artists responded with great pleasure to the students' questions, held a thematic discussion “Physical strength is not the only power”, talked about their achievements that became only possible due to intensive training and patience. Meeting such people is important for students, because a personal example always catches and inspires more, than just some story heard somewhere. It is very important to note that most teenagers want to be strong, but at the same time they don’t want to practice, train, or make efforts. The Kazakov Brothers once again convinced the guys that they need to constantly move to their goal even if it takes a lot of effort.

On January 9 and 11, a team of volunteers went to Petrikov and Krivichi. The program was quite simple, which gave everyone the atmosphere of comfort and warmth. After an official congratulatory part of program a sweet table was set for the boys. There were some simple games and a lot of personal communication which our teenagers miss and appreciate the most. The festive atmosphere was throughout the visit, the pupils themselves noted this.

We express our gratitude to everyone who took part in the holiday visits, who organized, helped and was just nearby.
