Individual approach to each child

A round table on the issues of interdepartmental cooperation in the process of reintegration of children with disabilities in the family was held in Volozhin.
Participants were experts from various organizations from the educational and the system of social protection.
The participants agreed that the main result of deinstitutionalization is the wellbeing of a child. The children with disabilities need to create good conditions in the family for psychological comfort and acceptance. So we need to organized placement of children in families that parents could provide their children with an education, quality health care and leisure.
Director of the Ivenets house-boarding institution said that children living in orphanage are getting the most social services and moving home don't have to limit them.
Social adaptation of children with disabilities after school, the family can be effective in terms of interaction of representatives of different organizations: of placement of children in families, center of correctional learning and development, center for social assistance to the population, adoption specialists and schools.
An important condition for the return or integration into the new family is the availability of the barrier-free environment.
All participants agreed to actively help each other with information and methodically in the preparation of individual plans for deinstitutionalization.
