How Teenagers With Special Needs Teach Others

In Bogushevsk house- boarding institution, two trainings were held for their residents. Alena and Maksim, certified teenagers of the institution, assisted in conducting the training "Bulling. Violence." for other residents of the institution. Watching social videos, discussing the proposed situations, the guys learned:
- What is bullying, by what signs is it recognized;
- Who are the participants in bullying and how are they characterized;
- How to respond in situations of bullying and what assistance to provide to the victim.
And most importantly, they independently came to conclusions by answering the question - WHAT to do if YOU are being bullied!
"I have rights!" - that was the title of another interactive lesson. At an accessible, understandable level, through games and fairy tales, the guys were able to involve their peers in the discussion of the most important issues of legal literacy. Fundamental rights, their protection and violation, examples from personal experience - those aspects that most affected the guys in the lesson. None of those present remained indifferent and uninterested!
These activities are aimed at raising awareness of the legitimate interests among children, at creating a safer, friendlier and more supportive environment; are carried out within the framework of  UNDEF project “Protection of the Rights of Adolescents in Belarusian Institutions”.
