Finally we could talk live. Within the framework of the project "Realization of rights through communication", a training course on alternative and additional communication was launched in June. Until the end of August all training courses were held on-line. Now we were able to conduct the training course off-line.
20 employees of Gorodishche house-boarding institution are trained to new methods and means of alternative communication. Each of them in the process of learning will select suitable means of communication for 20 children. As a result, children and specialists, employees of the house- boarding institution will understand each other better. Adults will more clearly understand the needs and wishes of children, their mood and behavior and will be able to help them to establish relationships in the society as well as with loved ones.
The program of the training course includes theoretical and practical classes in alternative communication. That time we dealt with the diagnosis of the level of development of communicative behavior of the chosen children and with the questions on how to write individual plans for the their development.
Despite the fact that specialists working with children for the most part have an average work experience of over 15 years, they received a lot of new information for the first time. This means that our project will help them to become even more professional and will increase the ability to find “a language” with the children and to feel joy of understanding among them and children which will prevent their emotional burnout.
