With the help of CPA « World Without Borders” and with the support of its partners , Swedish charitable organization “ERKS Development Partner” and A1 company in Belarus , additional equipment for Internet access appeared in 8 residential house-boarding institutions for the children with disabilities and by the end of the year an Internet package will be paid for the possibility to use it in all these institutions. Access to Internet during quarantine is a connection with the world and which, perhaps, will help for the residents to find their family or to have contacts with the friends and relatives.
The television broadcast of the concert on National TV which was organized by WWB within the framework of the action" Great Art by the Hands of Small People ", helped Kirill, a resident of Gorodishche house-boarding institution to find his family. The vocal stage of the action gave Kirill the opportunity to show himself in singing, someone was able to show his or her creative abilities. The first stage of the action, dedicated to the fine arts, aroused great interest and an exhibition of works painted by children from the house-boarding institutions was organized in Mir Castle, Museum of Minsk, in the cinema halls and others. Although, when WWB started the action it was heard from skeptics that these children will not become famous artists and actors. But there are examples that inspire: year 1994 Nobel Prize in Economics was given to John Forbes Nash, who had paranoid schizophrenia, then came another reward which was given to physicist Stephen Hawking, who was completely paralyzed. Their diseases did not prevent them from doing scientific research and so with many others.
Our project is an opportunity to do something not only for the creative development of such children, but also for their socialization, normalization and of course for helping them to find a family. And WWB has already initiated same cases when children with disabilities from the house-boarding institutions returned to their parents or to their relatives.
