Our expert group of AAC ( Alternative and Additional Communication) specialists  organizes consultations  for specialists of Gorodishche house-boarding institution in the framework of the project “Realization of rights through  communication”.
After having learned the basics of alternative and additional communication and  diagnostic techniques, a group of specialists from the house-boarding institution began to practice.
The working group of specialists consists of educators, a psychologist, an occupational therapy instructors and other workers who communicate with children more often than others in the institution. With this teaching and mentoring work, WWB wants every child who is brought up within the walls of this institution to be understood, to have the opportunity to express feelings and desires, to show initiative in communication.  The main thing is to expand the ability of non-verbal children with disabilities to communicate using additional means of communication and then expand their circle of communication and social skills.
This is a very painstaking work. But it is very important for the further socialization of people with disabilities. Communication is really development for children with disabilities.
