Children with disabilities can help to learn to enjoy life

We went to Ivenets house-boarding institution and talked with the
children for whom it became a home. In the house -boarding
institution, children have human rights classes. Today's topic is
"Health". But the favourite one is "Family".
“Find my mom!” - ask children with physical disabilities of the house
-boarding institution (Volozhin district, Minsk region). The residential
institution for them is like a home in which they are surrounded by
care and attention, but they want to believe that in their families it
will be even better and warmer.
Their educators and teachers are ready to believe in this, so they do a
lot to reunite the children with their families as much as possible.
This is rather an exception for such an establishment.
This work is hard, long and delicate - after all, an impenetrable wall of
alienation in most cases is precisely on the part of the parents, who
have abandoned “not like everyone ” child. But the results of this
work are already there, and there will be a separate story about how
the child returned to the family. Today I will tell you about those
children for whom this house-boarding institution has become a
home.
Alice: "I didn't have friends at home when I was little ..."
I find Alice, a 15-year-old girl, doing a creative activity - clutching a
pencil in her naughty fingers- she is trying to draw. The girl has a
severe degree of damage to the musculoskeletal system, she almost
cannot control her arms, legs and trunk.
