What a meeting is that!

We met with the administration of the institution, residents and employees of the department of accompanied residing. The young people told and showed how and what they do in the social room. Then it was our turn to tell and show to the employees and residents about the means of alternative communication, the importance and effectiveness of their application in the work of the department of accompanied residing. We discussed the features of assessing the level of development of self-reliance skills, the definition of an individual study program, the importance of alternative communication tools in cooking classes, the specifics of the organization of the process of teaching everyday habits, the choice of the type of craft in accordance with preferences and opportunities, the necessary tools and materials for the effective functioning of socio-living rooms.
After summarizing the results, the children treated us to pastry of their own baking. At this tasty and optimistic note, the event came to an end. Thanks to young people and colleagues for the warm welcome.
