On January 24, a meeting of the working group of experts on post-institutional support for graduates of house-boarding institutions for children and young people with disabilities was held in Minsk.
The participants of the meeting were employees of social management bodies and educational establishments, committees on labour, employment and social protection, the Republican Institute for Advanced Training and Retraining of Social Staff, the Labour Research Institute of the Ministry of Labour and Social Protection, house-boarding institutions, territorial centres of social services, non-governmental organizations and the CPA "World without Borders".
The event was intended to familiarize the representatives of the expert community with the activities of the CPA"World without Borders" on the resocialization of residents and graduates of house-boarding institutions through the introduction of post-institutional support and professional training within the framework of the Project "Chance for Everyone". The tasks of the working group created within the framework of the project and the responsibilities of the participants of the working group were also determined.
The work carried out in this direction is necessary for the creation and effective functioning of a mechanism for post-institutional accompanying of graduates of house-boarding institutions for children and young people with disabilities, as well as for the opening of the first social hostel for graduates of house-boarding institutions in our country, scheduled for March this year in Polotsk.
