Systematization of materials for a training manual on teaching the children with disabilities to their rights.

An important component of the implementation of the project “To know in order to Help” is the creation of a methodological manual on how to teach the children with disabilities to their rights. The development and compilation of materials is carried out by a group of trainers, which includes employees of the Belarusian State University, the Republican Resource Center for Inclusive Education, the Institute of Inclusive Education of the Belarusian State Pedagogical University, house-boarding institutions for children with disabilities, centers for developmental education and rehabilitation and regional centers of social public services.
The creation of the methodological manual will help the staff of the residential institutions:
-to make the process of teaching the children with disabilities to their rights guaranteed by the Convention of the Right of the Child easier
-to train the children to use these rights
-to learn about the mechanisms of their implementation  
-to notice the signs of restriction of the rights and (or) their violation in the house-boarding institutions.
The content of the methodological manual assumes the systematization of the materials in the questions of education of the children with disabilities to their rights , with the structure of the module on the fundamental rights “The right to education”, “The right to protection from all forms of violence”, “The right to choose”, “The right to equality and respect for differences”, “The right to personal things ”,“ The right to property ”,“ The right to a family ”,“ The right to express the views freely”,  “ The right for participation in the life of society”, “The right to play, rest and leisure”, “ The right to privacy ”,“ The right to receive and disseminate information ”,“ The right to special care with limited facilities ".
Adaptation is being carried out, the content and algorithm for using games on the rights of the child are being developed, taking into account the peculiarities in the development that children have. The structure of approximate lecture notes is determined, including a differentiated algorithm for interacting with children with disabilities in the house-boarding institutions, the technology for determining the using of the material is being prescribed.
Upon completion of the development of the methodological manual, it is supposed that it will be published and be available for direct use in the house- boarding institutions, as well as in other institutions involved in the development and rehabilitation of children with disabilities.
