Dialogue and cooperation for the well-being of every child with disabilities

Within the project Step forward was on an expanded meeting of experts in discussion and studying of opportunities for deinstitutionalization of children and disability and preparation of the action plan for reorganization of the house-boarding school (on the example of the Ivenetsky house-boarding institution). The main questions were how together to help the family and to be steady in difficult life situations and it is easy for adoptive parents to decide to take care up of children with disability.
At it there were representatives of the Ministry of Education Elena Vasilyevna Golovneva, the deputy chief of Head department of educational work and youth policy and the representative of the Ministry of Labour and Social Protection Fedorova Tatyana Nikolaevna, the chief of head department socially of service and the social help, the deputy chief of committee on work, employment and social protection Minsk Executive Committee Tatyana Aleksandrovna Domoratskaya and also representatives of all public institutions working in this sphere.
As a result of exchange of opinions experts accepted relevance of the project, discussed possibilities of deinstitutionalization of children in three directions: the device of all children with disability in families; definition of new opportunities in the sphere of providing social services for the families raising children with disability in the Minsk region and on the basis of the Ivenetsky house-boarding school.
It was succeeded to talk about many problems very openly. For all one was uniform – in the center of changes, there has to be a child and his well-being is the main starting point for all offers on development of a system of the social help to children with disability.
