Alternative communication is about patience, care and love

Alternative and Complementary Communication Trainee educators work under the strict guidance of experts. This time we gathered to discuss the intermediate successes of children in mastering new methods and means of ACC. And the trainee teachers shared what they had learned. Other employees of Gorodische house-boarding institution, who are not directly involved in the project were also able to get acquainted with the stories of the development of children.
The project participants made interactive presentations about the children they work with. These were detailed stories about how the project began, at what level of development the children's communication skills were and what they have achieved to date. Some of the children unexpectedly showed the ability not only to understand speech, but also to speak, some expanded their vocabulary and the ability to communicate with the help of communicative books, albums, a tablet. All these communication skills help educators understand children and their needs better, and as for the children it is to be understood.
A workshop was also held for the trainee teachers on how to make communication boards / panels that  can be of great help to reinforce the acquired skills by children.
