Every person needs communication. Unfortunately, children and adults with disabilities are very often limited in opportunities and means of communication. But there is a good solution to this problem - the application of the approach of Alternative and Complementary Communication (ACC), which returns the possibility of communication to people with disabilities. That is why the ACC approach for children and adults with disabilities and communication difficulties is actively developing and gaining momentum around the world. Every year in October, regional and international events are held to inform about the ACC approach, because despite the relevance of the development of the means and methods of the ACC, many difficulties and barriers are found in the process of practical implementation of the ACC approach.
On October 26-28, 2022, a scientific and practical conference is planned to be held in Belarus, dedicated to the issues of wide inclusion of the ACC practice both in the lives of people with disabilities and in the life of society.
We invite you to share your experience in implementing ACC tools and creating a learning and support community for ACC users. It is in the process of joint communication in the conference format that we will be able to describe the most successful world practices of the ACC and thus provide high-quality strategies and tactics for the development of the ACC in the future.
Forms of participation: part-time, online. To participate in the conference is required to register using the link no later than September 20, 2022.
